The project evaluated the replacement of the existing merchandise management system and examined alternative approaches to a new target system. Based on the evaluation of different approaches, it was decided to integrate the merchandise management tool, ordering and warehousing, into the existing ERP system for all locations.

With the implementation, necessary interfaces to third-party systems such as PLM and sales analysis tools were adapted and integrated. In addition, a central master data maintenance for projects and material master data with a roll-out procedure to all locations was decided.

In addition to the evaluation and technical conception of the requirements for the new merchandise management system, the project supervised test management, migration, cut over management and organizational integration into the departments.
